Adjustable Current LED Driver for Li-ion

Specification: This product is a current regulation integrated circuit operating from an input voltage of 2.8V to 6V, with a constant output current that can be set up to 1.5A using an external resistor. The working voltage range is DC 2.8-6V, suitable for 3V, 3.3V, 3.7V, 4.5V, 5V, and 6V LED drivers. The output current range is 30-1500mA, and the maximum output power is 9W. This driver can be used to power 1-16 pieces of 2.8-6V LEDs, as long as the maximum current does not exceed 1.5A.

The current regulation is achieved through two methods: 1) adjustable resistance, and 2) PWM control. The weight of the product is 0.56g.

This product consists of high reference voltage, amplifier, current mirror, and other components. The on-chip power transistor and current sense block significantly reduce the external component count, making this product an ideal choice for LED drivers.

When the CE (Chip Enable) pin is high, the input voltage is greater than 2.8V, and is larger than the LED forward voltage plus the required voltage drop, the driver functions normally to deliver constant current from the LED pin.

The driver adopts temperature regulation instead of temperature function, which means the LED can be turned on continuously even in high ambient temperature or high voltage drop situations. When the junction temperature reaches about 100°C, the temperature regulation mechanism begins to function.

The product also features a chip enable function, which can shut down the whole chip to limit the current consumption within 1uA. Additionally, it has an over-current block. When the LED current approaches 1.9A (Typical), the over-current block starts to function, preventing the LED current from increasing further.
